Due to a malicious update distributed by cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike, Windows computers at businesses all around the world have been severely disrupted.
CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz released a statement stating that the business is currently assisting clients affected by a flaw discovered in a single content update for Windows hosts. Linux and Mac hosts are unaffected. This isn’t a cyberattack or security incident.
The business, which admitted to receiving “reports of [Blue Screens of Death] on Windows hosts,” added that it had located the problem and that a remedy had been implemented for its Falcon Sensor product.
