The massive American building security company ADT acknowledged that there had been a data breach following the disclosure of purportedly stolen customer information on a well-known hacker forum by threat actors.

ADT is a publicly traded American corporation that offers smart home and security solutions to homeowners and small business owners. With 14,300 employees and $4.98 billion in revenue annually, the company serves about 6 million clients at 200 sites in the US.
