To help developers better assess the security of artificial intelligence (AI) agents, Microsoft has released two new open-source tools dubbed RAMPART and Clarity.
RAMPART, which stands for Risk Assessment and Measurement Platform for Agentic Red Teaming, is a framework for developing and executing safety and security tests for AI agents that is compatible with Pytest. It covers a variety of harm categories in addition to adversarial and benign concerns.
In order to investigate potential security breaches, such as cross-prompt injections—where untrusted data enters an AI system indirectly through a data source (such as an email, file, or web page) that it processes—unintentional behavioral regressions, and data exfiltration—users can create test cases to attack or probe an AI agent.
After then, RAMPART assesses and reports the results of those tests. An adapter that links an agent to the test suite is all that is required read more about Microsoft Open-Sources RAMPART and Clarity to Secure AI Agents During Development.
