The extortion gang Arkana Security briefly advertised what seemed like recently obtained Ticketmaster data over the weekend, however it was actually data taken during the 2024 Snowflake data theft operations.
It was speculated that this was a new breach when the extortion organization tweeted screenshots of the purportedly stolen data, selling over 569 GB of Ticketmaster data for sale.
But according to BleepingComputer, the files in the Arkana post correspond to Ticketmaster data samples that we previously observed during the 2024 Snowflake data theft attacks.
Additionally, the caption for one of the pictures read, “rapeflaked copy 4 quick sale 1 buyer,” referring to a program called “RapeFlake.”
The threat actors developed RapeFlake, a specialized tool, to conduct reconnaissance and steal information read more about Stolen Ticketmaster data from Snowflake attacks briefly for sale again.
