U.S. Government Releases New AI Security Guidelines for Critical Infrastructure
The United States government has released new security rules designed to protect vital infrastructure from risks related to artificial intelligence (AI).
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced on Monday that these guidelines are based on an all-government effort to evaluate the risks associated with artificial intelligence (AI) in all sixteen critical infrastructure sectors and to address threats to, from, and with AI systems.
The organization added that it is striving to enable the technology to be used in a way that respects people's civil rights, privacy, and freedoms and is safe, responsible, and trustworthy.
