New FireScam Android data-theft malware poses as Telegram Premium app
A new Android malware called FireScam is being propagated through phishing websites on GitHub that imitate the RuStore, Russia's mobile app marketplace, by posing as a premium version of the Telegram client.
Following Western restrictions that affected Russian customers' access to mobile applications, the Russian internet organization VK (VKontakte) created RuStore in May 2022 as an alternative to Google Play and Apple's App Store.
