Chinese-Linked LightSpy iOS Spyware Targets South Asian iPhone Users
Researchers studying cybersecurity have uncovered a "renewed" cyber espionage effort that targets South Asian users in an attempt to implant the Apple iOS spyware program LightSpy.
As stated in a study released last week, the BlackBerry Threat Research and Intelligence Team, "The most recent version of LightSpy, named 'F_Warehouse,' features a modular framework with extensive spying features."
Based on VirusTotal submissions from inside India's borders, there is evidence to imply that the campaign may have been directed towards the country.
