Cloudflare Warns of India-Linked Hackers Targeting South and East Asian Entities
An advanced threat actor is using multiple cloud service providers with a connection to India to enable malware delivery, credential harvesting, and command-and-control (C2).
The activity is being monitored by Cloudflare, a web infrastructure and security business, under the handle SloppyLemming, also known as Outrider Tiger and Fishing Elephant.
SloppyLemming has been using Cloudflare Workers on a regular basis since late 2022, most likely as a part of a larger espionage effort aimed at South and East Asian nations, according to an investigation by Cloudflare.
