Hacker claims to leak WIRED database with 2.3 million records
A hacker claims to have gained access to Condé Nast and published a purported WIRED database with over 2.3 million subscriber records. They also threaten to disclose up to 40 million more records for other Condé Nast properties.
A threat actor going by the moniker "Lovely" posted the database on a hacker forum on December 20 and offered access in the site's credits system for about $2.30. Lovely said in the post that Condé Nast did not take security seriously and ignored vulnerability reports.
Condé Nast doesn't give a damn about user data security. A post on a hacking forum states, "It took us a whole month to convince them to fix the vulnerabilities on their websites."
