Apple Warns Older iPhones Vulnerable to Coruna, DarkSword Exploit Kit Attacks
In order to protect their iPhones from web-based attacks using potent exploit kits like Coruna and DarkSword, Apple is advising users who are still running an out-of-date version of iOS to update.
These attacks use malicious online content to target outdated iOS versions, starting a chain reaction of infections that results in sensitive data theft.
For instance, Apple stated in a support post that the data on your iPhone could be stolen if you're running an older version of iOS and open a malicious link or visit a compromised website.
In order to fix vulnerabilities and thwart such assaults, we promptly distributed software upgrades for the most recent operating system versions after extensively investigating these problems as they were discovered.
