New Dolphin X malware uses AI to rank high-value targets

According to a new Dolphin X remote access trojan, fraudsters may determine which victims should be targeted first by using an AI-powered profiling tool to evaluate and rank infected users. Daniel Kelley, a researcher at Varonis Threat Labs, examined the virus after seeing it being promoted as an all-in-one remote access trojan on a cybercrime forum by a seller going by the moniker "Kontraktnik." The operator panel displays 329 features in ten categories, including a credential-stealing capability that purports to target over 300 applications, according to Varonis.
