Experts Warn of Critical Unpatched Vulnerability in Linear eMerge E3 Systems
The Nice Linear eMerge E3 access controller systems have an unpatched vulnerability that might allow arbitrary operating system (OS) commands to be executed, according to cybersecurity researchers.
VulnCheck reports that the vulnerability, which has been given the CVE identifier CVE-2024-9441, has a CVSS score of 9.8 out of a possible 10.0.
According to SSD Disclosure's advisory published late last month, a vulnerability in the Nortek Linear eMerge E3 allows remote, unauthenticated attackers to force the device to execute arbitrary commands. The vendor has not yet offered a fix or a workaround for the bug.
