The U.S. Secret Service details how threat actors obtained $34,000 via phony antivirus renewal subscription emails in a seizure warrant application. Special Agent Jollif of the United States Secret Service (USSS) filed the now-executed seizure warrant in order to retrieve money that was pilfered from a fraudulent email claiming to be a Norton subscription renewal, which allowed the threat actor to access the victim's computer and bank account.
