Claude AI Exploited to Operate 100+ Fake Political Personas in Global Influence Campaign
Unknown threat actors used Anthropic's Claude chatbot for a "influence-as-a-service" operation to interact with real accounts on Facebook and X, according to the artificial intelligence (AI) business.
A network of "politically-aligned accounts" that interacted with "10s of thousands" of real accounts was allegedly created by the sophisticated activity, which was characterized as financially driven, using its AI tool to coordinate 100 different individuals across the two social media sites.
