Researchers Uncover BankBot-YNRK and DeliveryRAT Android Trojans Stealing Financial Data
Researchers studying cybersecurity have discovered two distinct Android trojans, BankBot-YNRK and DeliveryRAT, that can collect private information from vulnerable devices.
By first determining whether it is operating in a virtualized or emulated environment and then extracting device information like the manufacturer and model name to determine whether it is being executed on a real device, the malware evades analysis efforts, according to CYFIRMA, which examined three distinct samples of BankBot-YNRK.
Additionally, BankBot-YNRK determines whether the handset is produced by Oppo or is running ColorOS, an Android operating system variant found on original equipment manufacturer (OEM) devices from China.
