French telecom giant Orange discloses cyberattack
One of the biggest telecom providers in the world, Orange, a French business, announced on Friday that it had discovered a compromised system on its network.
On July 25, the company's cybersecurity business section, Orange Cyberdefense, identified the infected machine and isolated it from the rest of the network. There have been some operational hiccups as a result, mostly impacting French clients, but they should be gradually fixed by Wednesday morning, July 30.
The Orange Group discovered a cyberattack on one of its computer systems on Friday, July 25. After being promptly notified, the teams deployed fully with Orange Cyberdefense's assistance to isolate the possibly impacted services and minimize the effect, according to the telecom behemoth.
