Infostealer Steals OpenClaw AI Agent Configuration Files and Gateway Tokens
Researchers in cybersecurity revealed that they have discovered an instance of an information-stealing virus effectively infiltrating a victim's OpenClaw configuration environment (formerly known as Clawdbot and Moltbot).
"This discovery represents a major turning point in the evolution of infostealer behavior: the shift from stealing browser credentials to harvesting the identities and'souls' of personal AI [artificial intelligence] agents," Hudson Rock stated.
Based on the facts of the infection, Hudson Rock's CTO, Alon Gal, informed The Hacker News that the stealer was probably a Vidar version. Since late 2018, Vidar, an off-the-shelf information stealer, has been in operation.
