Google Sues App Developers Over Fake Crypto Investment App Scam
Under the pretense of offering larger profits, Google has filed a lawsuit against two app developers for participating in a "international online consumer investment fraud scheme" that duped customers into downloading fraudulent Android apps from the Google Play Store and other sources, with the intention of stealing their money.
The people in question are Hongnam Cheung, also known as Zhang Hongnim or Stanford Fischer, and Yunfeng Sun, also known as Alphonse Sun. It is thought that they are based in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, respectively.
