Adult Google Ad Fraud Campaign Garnered Millions of Impressions

According to Malwarebytes, a new fraudulent internet advertising scheme leveraging Google Ads on adult websites may have earned its operator hundreds of thousands of dollars per month. The scheme was taken down when the security vendor reported it to Google for breaking its acceptable content guideline. Similar to popups, so-called "popunders" function as a whole landing page that is displayed underneath the main website. Malwarebytes discovered an ad fraud operation in which the con artists loaded a complete blog as their popunder, which had dozens of articles plagiarised from other websites.
