HR giant Workday discloses data breach after Salesforce attack
Following a recent social engineering attempt that allowed hackers to access a third-party customer relationship management (CRM) platform, human resources behemoth Workday has revealed a data breach.
With offices in North America, EMEA, and APJ, Workday employs over 19,300 people. Its headquarters are in Pleasanton, California. More than 11,000 businesses from a variety of industries, including more than 60% of the Fortune 500, are on Workday's customer list.
The company stated in a blog post on Friday that no client renters were affected, but the attackers were able to view some of the data kept on the compromised CRM systems.
