Android’s New Identity Check Feature Locks Device Settings Outside Trusted Locations
For compatible Android smartphones, Google has introduced a new feature called Identity Check that, while not in trusted locations, locks sensitive settings behind biometric authentication.
In a post announcing the change, Google stated that when you activate Identity Check, your device would need explicit biometric authentication to access specific sensitive resources while you're not in trusted places.
