New iShutdown Method Exposes Hidden Spyware Like Pegasus on Your iPhone
Researchers studying cybersecurity have discovered a "lightweight method" known as iShutdown that can accurately detect spyware indicators on Apple iOS devices, including well-known dangers like Pegasus from NSO Group, Reign from QuaDream, and Predator from Intellexa.
According to Kaspersky, which examined a group of iPhones infected with Pegasus, the viruses left evidence in a text-based system log file called "Shutdown.log," which is present on all iOS devices and logs every reboot event along with the environment's features.
