Jack Dorsey’s Twitter alternative Bluesky reaches closed beta
The former manager of Twitter has created a rival, possibly dissatisfied with what Elon Musk is doing with the network he once oversaw. Now an invite-only app, Bluesky will soon join the list of social media platforms that compete with the contentious one.
Users can put their email addresses on waiting and wait for an invitation to join in the future. Only US citizens may participate in the closed beta, which is exclusively accessible through the App Store.
Twitter and Bluesky are remarkably similar, right down to the timeline and profile pages.
