Jackson County in state of emergency after ransomware attack
Following the Tuesday outage of several county services due to a ransomware assault, Jackson County, Missouri, has declared a state of emergency.
According to the Missouri county, Jackson County has verified that a ransomware assault was the cause of the loss of multiple government services today.
As the IT department works to restore the tax payment, marriage license, and inmate search systems affected by the event, the Assessment, Collection, and Recorder of Deeds offices at all County locations will probably be closed until the end of the week.
