Kosovo hacker pleads guilty to running BlackDB cybercrime marketplace
Liridon Masurica, a citizen of Kosovo, entered a guilty plea to operating the cybercrime marketplace BlackDB.cc, which has been operational since 2018.
The defendant, 33, who goes under the online handle @blackdb, was taken into custody by Kosovar authorities on December 14, 2024. After appearing in court in Tampa on May 12, he was arrested and extradited to the United States on May 9, 2025.
According to court documents, Masurica was the primary administrator of BlackDB.cc, an online criminal marketplace that operated from 2018 to 2025, a period of over seven years.
