Legal powerhouse Proskauer exposed clients’ confidential M&A data
Proskauer Rose, a global law company with its headquarters in New York City, exposed private client information for more than six months as a result of a security lapse, TechCrunch has learnt.
Data from Proskauer's merger and acquisitions practise was left on an insecure Microsoft Azure cloud server, a source with knowledge of the situation told TechCrunch.
According to the source, TechCrunch was able to retrieve a fraction of the exposed dataset, which had roughly 184,000 files in total.
