Encrypted Messaging App Exclu Used by Criminal Groups Cracked by Joint Law Enforcement
Exclu, an encrypted communications program used by organized crime gangs, has been decrypted by a collaborative law enforcement effort by Germany, the Netherlands, and Poland.
In a press release, Eurojust stated that the operation on February 3 led to the detention of 45 people in Belgium and the Netherlands, some of them were users as well as the service's administrators and proprietors.
Authorities also conducted 79 raids, which resulted in the confiscation of 200 phones, 300,000 ecstasy tablets, €5.5 million in cash, and 20 guns. Two other drug labs have been closed.
