LockBit ransomware group threatens to publish stolen Royal Mail data
The ransomware group LockBit, which has ties to Russia, has taken credit for the cyberattack on Royal Mail and has threatened to release the information it obtained from the world's largest postal service.
On Monday, Royal Mail was added to LockBit's dark web leak site. Royal Mail has been suffering a cyberattack since January 10. The listing, which TechCrunch saw, does not specify the quantity or kinds of data that have been taken from Royal Mail, but LockBit has threatened to expose "all available data" on February 9.
This indicates that the ransom demand made by the ransomware gang, the sum of which is still unknown, has not been satisfied.
