The City of London's primary trading software supplier was the target of a suspected ransomware attack this week, which appears to have disrupted activity in the derivatives market.
In a brief statement published on Tuesday, Ion Cleared Derivatives claimed that on that day, a "cybersecurity event" had impacted some of its services.
"The incident is confined to a particular environment. All affected servers have been disconnected, and services are currently being remedied. When they become available, more updates will be posted, it was added.
