Louis Vuitton says regional data breaches tied to same cyberattack
The extortion organization ShinyHunters is thought to be responsible for the security incident that affected clients in the UK, South Korea, and Turkey, according to luxury fashion giant Louis Vuitton.
First in South Korea, then Turkey, and finally in the UK on Friday, the company has been alerting customers since last week that their information was compromised in a data breach.
According to Louis Vuitton's data breach notifications given to consumers, "On July 2, 2025, we became aware of a personal data breach resulting from the exfiltration of certain personal data of some of our clients following an unauthorized access to our system," even though all security measures were in place.
