Mandiant’s account on X hacked to push cryptocurrency scam
Earlier today, a cryptocurrency hoax was shared on Mandiant's Twitter account, which is a Google subsidiary and American cybersecurity business. The account was taken over to look like the Phantom cryptocurrency wallet.
A Mandiant representative informed BleepingComputer, "We are aware of the incident impacting the Mandiant X account and are working to resolve the issue."Once in control, the attacker changed the domain name to @phantomsolw and advertised a phony website pretending to be the Phantom cryptocurrency wallet, with the promise of giving away free $PHNTM tokens as part of an airdrop.
