New SideWinder Cyber Attacks Target Maritime Facilities in Multiple Countries
A new cyber espionage effort targeting ports and maritime facilities in the Mediterranean and Indian oceans has been linked to the nation-state threat actor SideWinder.
Targets of the spear-phishing attack, according to the BlackBerry Research and Intelligence Team, which uncovered the activity, include Pakistan, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, and the Maldives.
