Dutch Police Disrupt Major Info Stealers RedLine and MetaStealer in Operation Magnus
The infrastructure supporting two information thieves, RedLine and MetaStealer, has been disrupted, according to the Dutch National Police and their international allies.
Authorities from the United States, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Portugal, and Australia participated in an international law enforcement task force code-named Operation Magnus, which led to the takedown on October 28, 2024.
According to a statement released today by Eurojust, the operation resulted in the seizure of two domains (spasshik[.]xyz and fivto[.]online) and the shutdown of three servers in the Netherlands. It is anticipated that the malware was utilized on more than 1,200 servers across dozens of nations.
