Salesforce Flags Unauthorized Data Access via Gainsight-Linked OAuth Activity
Salesforce has issued a warning on "unusual activity" found in Gainsight-published apps that are linked to the platform.
According to the company's advisory, our analysis suggests that this action may have allowed unauthorized access to some customers' Salesforce data via the app's connection.
According to the cloud services company, all active access and refresh tokens linked to Gainsight-published apps linked to Salesforce have been revoked. Additionally, as it conducts its investigation, it has temporarily taken those apps off the AppExchange.
Salesforce stated that it had informed the affected customers, but it did not reveal how many were affected.
