New Malware Campaign Uses PureCrypter Loader to Deliver DarkVision RAT
Researchers studying cybersecurity have revealed a new malware campaign that uses the malware loader PureCrypter to spread the commodity remote access trojan (RAT) DarkVision RAT.
Zscaler ThreatLabz witnessed the activity in July 2024, and it uses a multi-step procedure to deliver the RAT payload.
Security researcher Muhammed Irfan V. A. stated in his investigation that DarkVision RAT uses a unique network protocol via sockets to connect with its command-and-control (C2) server.
