Qantas discloses cyberattack amid Scattered Spider aviation breaches
After threat actors obtained access to a third-party platform that held consumer data, Australian airline Qantas revealed that it had discovered a cyberattack on Monday.
With almost 24,000 employees and domestic and international flights on six continents, Qantas is the biggest airline in Australia.
The airline claims that although the attack has been controlled, a "significant" amount of data is thought to have been stolen in a press release released Monday night. After a threat actor acquired access to a third-party customer service platform and targeted a Qantas call center, the breach started.
