FBI: Cyber-Criminals Are Purchasing Search Engine Ad Services to Launch Attacks
The FBI has issued a warning that cybercriminals are defrauding the public by using search engine ad services.
On December 21, 2022, a public service alert was released stating that threat actors are using these ad services to pose as well-known companies in order to attract consumers to dangerous websites.
These websites trick users into downloading malware or providing login information and financial information because they "appear identical to the impersonated business's genuine webpage."
