DoNot Team Linked to New Tanzeem Android Malware Targeting Intelligence Collection
As part of highly focused cyberattacks, a new Android malware has been connected to the threat actor DoNot Team.
The cybersecurity firm Cyfirma discovered the artifacts in question in October and December of 2024 and called them Tanzeem (which means "organization" in Urdu) and Tanzeem Update. With the exception of minor UI changes, the aforementioned apps have been determined to integrate identical capabilities.
According to a Friday investigation by Cyfirma, "the app does not work once installed, shutting down after the necessary permissions are granted, even though it is supposed to function as a chat application."
