OFAC Sanctions DPRK IT Worker Network Funding WMD Programs Through Fake Remote Jobs
Six people and two organizations have been sanctioned by the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) for their participation in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) information technology (IT) worker scheme, which aims to defraud American companies and provide the regime with illegal funds to finance its WMD programs.
