US House bans WhatsApp on staff devices over security concerns
Due to concerns about WhatsApp's encryption and data security, the U.S. House of Representatives has prohibited its installation and use on congressional staff members' government-issued devices.
Mobile phones, laptops, desktop computers, and any web browsers that are installed on them are all prohibited.
WhatsApp is still available to congressional employees on their own devices, despite current regulations prohibiting its usage in sensitive settings like secure buildings or classified briefings.
