Dell confirms breach of test lab platform by World Leaks extortion group
Earlier this month, a recently renamed extortion group called "World Leaks" broke into one of Dell's product presentation platforms and is currently attempting to coerce the corporation into paying a ransom.
The threat actor had compromised Dell's Customer Solution Centers platform, which is used to show customers Dell products and solutions. Dell confirmed this to BleepingComputer.
According to Dell, BleepingComputer, a threat actor recently obtained access to our Solution Center, a setting created to showcase our goods and test proofs-of-concept for Dell's business clients. It is not utilized in the delivery of services to Dell customers and is purposefully isolated from partner and customer systems as well as Dell's networks.
