Zendesk ticket systems hijacked in massive global spam wave
A large spam wave that originates from unprotected Zendesk support systems is targeting people all around the world. Victims describe receiving hundreds of emails with odd and occasionally frightening subject lines.
People began reporting on social media that they received hundreds of spam emails on January 18th, which marked the beginning of the wave.
The sheer volume and disorganized format of the emails have made them extremely perplexing and maybe frightening for recipients, even if there don't seem to be any dangerous links or overt phishing efforts.
