The French Ministry of the Interior oversees this administrative organization, which is also known as the Agence nationale des titres àcurisés (ANTS), which is in charge of administering official identity and registration documents in France. Passports, driver’s licenses, national ID cards, and immigration documents fall under this category.
The incident happened last week, and while the investigation is still ongoing, many data types for an unspecified number of people may have been exposed, the agency said in a statement released Wednesday.
