With a fast-moving race on artificial intelligence technologies, Google has started the public release of its chatbot Bard in an effort to overtake Microsoft.
Customers can now sign up for a waitlist for English-language access to Bard, a service that was previously only available to certified testers, in the US and the UK. According to Google, Bard is an experiment in collaborative generative AI, a technique that uses historical data to produce content rather than recognise it.
