Google to bolster phishing and malware delivery defenses in 2024

In order to strengthen email security against phishing and malware delivery, Google will roll out new sender guidelines in February that will require bulk senders to verify their emails and follow more stringent spam criteria.

According to Neil Kumaran, Group Product Manager for Gmail Security & Trust, “We started requiring that emails sent to a Gmail address must have some form of authentication last year.”
