Researchers studying cybersecurity have discovered fresh network infrastructure that Iranian threat actors have installed to facilitate operations connected to the recent targeting of political campaigns in the United States.
The infrastructure has been connected by Recorded Future’s Insikt gang to a hacker gang called GreenCharlie, which shares similarities with APT42, Charming Kitten, Damselfly, Mint Sandstorm (formerly Phosphorus), TA453, and Yellow Garuda. GreenCharlie is an Iran-based cyber threat group.
