The Manchester Airports Group (MAG) revealed that consumer data, including Wi-Fi sign-ups from Manchester, Stansted, and East Midlands airports, was stolen by hackers who gained access to company systems.
According to the firm, the attack had no effect on airport operations and the hacker was unable to access client payment information.
According to a statement released by the firm today, the exfiltrated data also pertains to reservations for parking lots, lounges, and Fast Track. Customers’ email addresses, phone numbers, car registration numbers, and postcodes are among the compromised information.
“Airport operations remain unaffected and customer parking services continue to operate normally,” the company said, assuring them that the event had not caused any operational impact.
