Meta releases sound generation tool AudioCraft

Users can create “realistic” music and background noise using the open-source AI program AudioCraft, which Meta has made available.

According to Meta, AudioCraft is effective for both compression and the creation of music and sound. Three models make up the system: MusicGen, AudioGen, and EnCodec.

MusicGen was trained on 20,000 hours of authorized music before its June release. Based on both textual and melodic cues, it produces samples.

AudioGen creates audio from text-based inputs and was trained in public sound effects. “You can generate environmental sounds and sound effects like a dog barking, cars honking, or footsteps on a wooden floor,” Meta added to the upgraded AudioCraft edition read more Meta releases sound generation tool AudioCraft.
