Microsoft warns of new XCSSET macOS malware variant targeting Xcode devs

According to Microsoft Threat Intelligence, a new version of the XCSSET macOS malware has been identified in a few isolated instances. It has improved persistence mechanisms, clipboard hijacking, and browser targeting, among other new capabilities.

The modular macOS virus known as XCSSET steals notes, cryptocurrency wallets, and browser data from compromised systems. It also functions as an infostealer and bitcoin thief.
