Okta open-sources catalog of Auth0 rules for threat detection

For Auth0 clients, Okta offers open-sourced, pre-made Sigma-based queries that can identify suspicious activity in event logs, account takeovers, and setup errors.

Organizations use Okta’s identity and access management (IAM) platform, Auth0, for user management, authentication, and login services.

The business hopes that by making the detection rules available, security teams will be able to swiftly examine Auth0 logs for any unusual activity that might point to token theft, SMS bombing, account takeovers, intrusion attempts, or the establishment of rogue admin accounts.

Up until now, users of Auth0 had to either use the pre-installed Security Center features or create their own detection rules using event logs.

Okta has made it possible for developers, tenant administrators, DevOps teams, SOC analysts, and threat hunters to improve their proactive threat detection with the release of Customer Detection Catalog read more about Okta open-sources catalog of Auth0 rules for threat detection.
